Background
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the Punjab government has launched the Chief Minister Population Management and Family Planning Program, a comprehensive initiative aimed at addressing population growth challenges and promoting reproductive health across the province.
Primary Objectives
- Enhance public awareness on family planning and reproductive health
- Promote behavioural change through strategic communication
- Ensure accessible and affordable family planning services
- Engage youth and communities in population management initiatives
Budget Allocation
- Rs. 1 billion allocated for the fiscal year 2024–25
Current situation
- This is comprehensive package regarding family planning services by incorporating various features in the single program by Youth specific content development / documentaries about vicious cycle of increased population growth and screening of the same in universities and colleges across Punjab
- The activities are underway across the province
