To promote culture of Sports and healthy Playing activities in 46 areas of Punjab, in addition to develop Gymnasium facilities in seven preselected area under this block, for following indoor sports activities:
- Badminton, Table Tennis, Basket Ball, Volley Ball, Mat Wrestling etc.
Further, development of outdoor Sports infrastructure in the pre-identified 46 areas of Province for the sports like,
- Cricket, Football, Grass Hockey, Volley Ball, Jogging Track, Practice Pitches for Cricket, Open Gym and Children Play Area etc.
The objective of the scheme is to provide healthy activities to the youth as well as old people of the area.
Budget: Rs. 7.157 Billion
Current Status
- PC-1s of 48 Schemes against 52 Schemes included in ADP 2024-25 under 'Khelta Punjab' approved by DDSC of YA&SD.
- Work on 45 approved schemes is in progress on full swing and released funds will be utilized by June, 2025.
