The Chief Minister's Special Monitoring Unit conducted a visit to Syed Muhammad Hussain Government T.B. Sanatorium Samli Hospital to evaluate its operational status and overall healthcare service delivery. During the visit, the team assessed several critical aspects including the availability of essential medical staff, whether doctors and nurses are receiving their monthly salaries, and if the hospital management committee is active and conducting regular meetings. They reviewed patient intake data, the number of admitted patients on the day of the visit, availability of beds, and the functioning condition of medical equipment. The team also examined the cleanliness of wards, the availability and quality of medicines, condition of washrooms, and whether the hospital building has any sections declared unsafe. Further observations included the presence of a boundary wall, availability of clean drinking water for patients and staff, functionality of the ambulance service, and whether free treatment is being provided to eligible patients. Additionally, the monitoring team reviewed staff attendance records, availability of first aid and emergency response facilities, and checked if healthcare professionals had received training under any government capacity-building programs.
