Field Visit- Field Hospitals

The Chief Minister's Special Monitoring Unit conducted visits to Field Hospitals established under the Chief Minister Punjab’s Health Initiative in Hafizabad, Jhang, Okara, and Lahore to assess their operational performance and the quality of basic healthcare services being delivered to the public. During the visits, the team examined essential aspects such as the presence and attendance of qualified medical staff, including doctors, paramedics, and nursing personnel, and verified whether salaries were being disbursed regularly. The functionality of the hospital management structure, including the conduct of regular review meetings, was also evaluated. The team reviewed patient intake and treatment records, the number of patients served on the day of the visit, availability and condition of hospital beds, and the working status of medical and emergency equipment. Cleanliness of the premises, hygiene of washrooms, availability of essential medicines, and the condition of the infrastructure were also inspected. Further observations included the presence of a secure boundary wall, access to clean drinking water, availability of ambulances, and whether patients were receiving free or subsidized treatment as per government policy. The monitoring unit also checked staff duty rosters, presence of first aid and emergency care kits, and whether the staff had undergone any relevant training under government health capacity-building programs.
