Unannounced Inspection of DHQ Hospital Sahiwal by SMU Head
Chief Minister’s Special Monitoring Unit (SMU) Head, Mr. Amjad Hafeez, paid an unannounced monitoring visit to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Sahiwal to assess service delivery and operational standards. The objective of the visit was to evaluate the hospital’s adherence to the Government of Punjab’s benchmarks for accessible, efficient, and patient-centered healthcare.
During the inspection, Mr. Amjad Hafeez conducted a comprehensive review of key functional areas, including the availability of essential medicines, cleanliness and hygiene standards in wards, staff attendance, the responsiveness of emergency services, and the overall condition of diagnostic and surgical facilities. Particular emphasis was placed on staff punctuality, the effectiveness of patient feedback mechanisms, and the overall quality of care being delivered.
