Field Visit- Azeez Bhatti Shaheed Hospital Gujrat

The Chief Minister’s Special Monitoring Unit conducted a visit to Azeez Bhatti Shaheed Hospital to assess the quality of services being provided. During the visit, the team reviewed the availability of medicines, laboratory equipment, and essential machines, and noted any shortages of medicines, medical instruments, or diagnostic tests. It was observed whether doctors and supporting staff were present and if there was a shortage in human resources. The team inspected the cleanliness of various hospital areas including public toilets, emergency toilets, OPD, waiting areas, operation theaters, indoor sections, and the exterior of the building. They also checked if emergency patients were being treated promptly and whether electronic medical records were being used to collect and store patient data. The behavior of the doctors and staff toward patients was evaluated along with the availability of basic facilities such as parking, wheelchairs, and cafeteria services. The team further examined if excessive fees were being charged for parking or cafeteria services, and whether any absentee doctors were reported from the provided duty list. Patient feedback was collected to gauge satisfaction levels, document any complaints, and identify doctors reported absent during duty hours.
